CANCELLATION POLICY
If you cannot attend, you may send a substitute. Requests for substitution must be submitted in via email to events@paralegals.org. If you must cancel, requests must be made via email as well. Cancellations received on or before September 9, 2024, are subject to a $50.00 fee. Cancellations received after September 9, 2024 will forfeit all fees.

Are you ready to experience the dark side of Portland’s past and meet the real ghosts that haunt its streets? Join us on a ghost tour to the most ghost-infested places in Stumptown’s dark streets to hear the freakish tales of the ghosts that make Portland the most haunted city on the west coast.

Through their volunteers, CASA of Marion County, Inc. advocates for abused and neglected children who need safe and permanent homes.

Children in the child welfare system are disproportionately drawn from families living in poverty. Black and indigenous children are disproportionately placed in care.

Families most likely to be involved in the child protective services (CPS) system are poor, minority, and often single-parent families who live in low-income neighborhoods. Such families are at greater risk of involvement with CPS and entry into foster care due to many factors, including substance abuse and family structure instability. Together, this research confirms that foster children in general come from more disadvantaged environments.

CASA of Marion County serves children from marginalized communities by advocating for each child's specific, culturally-appropriate needs on a case-by-case basis.
