Welcome to NFPA!

Whether you are a new or returning member, we're delighted to have you with us. There are two ways to join our organization - either through one of our dozens of affiliated local paralegal associations nationwide, or directly as an Individual or Organizational member.

 

Membership Applications may take up to 5 business days excluding holidays.

Individual Membership

Individual Sustaining: $125

Individuals working as paralegals/legal assistants, or non-attorneys that supervise paralegals

Apply for Individual Sustaining Membership

Associate membership: $125

Individuals previously, but not currently, employed as a paralegal, seeking full-time employment as a paralegal following completion of a paralegal studies program, employed by a company providing services to law firms/corporations not under the supervision of an active/licensed attorney, or Paralegal educators.

Individual Student: $55

Individuals currently enrolled in a paralegal program or have graduated from a paralegal program in the last year

Apply for Individual Student Membership 

Individual Military: $65

Paralegals currently on active duty in the armed forces no matter where they are stationed. Consider joining the Judge Advocate General's Association for Legal Paraprofessionals (JAGALP) and get a 2 for 1 membership with NFPA!

All Individual Memberships expire on December 31. Those who join between July 1 - September 30 will pay a prorated rate of 50% off the listed price. Membership not available to those currently incarcerated.

 

 

Organizational Membership

Organizational Membership: $250

  • Libraries, businesses and other organizations who are interested in promoting the paralegal profession are welcome to join NFPA.
  • Paralegal groups which are divisions or sections of non-paralegal entities (bar associations, government entities etc.) or located outside of the United States who want to associate with the mission and activities of NFPA.

Designed as a grassroots organization, NFPA® encourages members from local associations to become involved nationally by serving as a Coordinator, as a Committee member, or as a member of the national Board of Directors.
