Public Defenders and their Angels, a.k.a Paralegals

Paralegals are essential in assisting Public Defenders and their clients who cannot afford attorneys, but they deserve representation. This is especially true when defending inmates accused of a capital offense. 

Meet your Presenter:

Mary Mayer 

Mary Katherine Mayer, ACP, is an Advanced Certified Paralegal in Criminal Litigation, Contract Management, and Trial Practice, and currently is a Freelance Paralegal in Northern Arizona. She has over 30 years’ experience in the legal field. Mary is a member of NALA and previously served on the Professional Development Committee. She has been a speaker at NALA’s conference and has written several articles for various Paralegal publications. When not volunteering or writing, Mary enjoys spending time with her Husband and Son and watching sports.
