This webinar will look at early stages in the life of a company, including formation and doing business in other states. It will focus on key decisions that need to be made in the formation process, such as choosing entity type and selecting a jurisdiction, and the formalities and public record requirements that will ensue from those decisions. It will also look at the risks of non-compliance.

It will also cover the decisions to be made as a company expands, including how to determine whether a company needs to qualify in a particular state, requirements for doing so, and the importance of maintaining good standing in every jurisdiction where the company is doing business. It will then briefly touch on the public filing requirements when amending, converting, merging and dissolving.
