How do you attract and/or increase membership?

NCAPA has a presence on social media platforms such as Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn in an effort to engage with our membership and our sponsors.  We believe the more we advertise and have a direct line of communication it will allow for membership growth.

Additionally, we offer mentorship programs to attract those new to the paralegal profession or wish to change specialties.  This tends to go hand in hand with our recently re-established Experienced Paralegal Network, which is open to all paralegals in the tristate area to connect with one another.  Lastly, we have a student liaison who speaks to not only college students enrolled in paralegal education programs but will be extending that to high school students to teach them of the many professions within law.

What specialty groups does your organization have?

NCAPA has recently re-established the Experienced Paralegal Network.  Once the group grows in size, we will offer networks for different practice groups.  We also have a host of association committees, such as CLE, Mentorship, Membership, Publications, Social Media to name a few that help prioritize the needs of members and keep the association organized and prospering.
