Airport
The Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport has two terminals - Lindbergh (Terminal 1) and Humphrey (Terminal 2). Most attendees will arrive at Terminal 1, but there is free light rail transit between the two terminals. It is approximately 15-20 minutes by car between the airport and Conference hotel, depending on traffic.
Getting Around the Twin Cities
- Ride sharing: Lyft and Uber operate throughout the Twin Cities metro area
- Light rail and Bus: The METRO Blue Line will take you from the airport to downtown Minneapolis. Bus routes run from the various light rail stations if you’re hoping to visit a restaurant or attraction not on the line. Plan your trip with Metro Transit. Please note that the nearest light rail stop to the hotel is 0.6 miles from the hotel.
- Taxis are available throughout the Twin Cities (suggestions below listed in alphabetical order):
- Driving: the Twin Cities are very drivable and if you want to visit areas outside of the metro (like Paisley Park), we recommend checking the bus schedule well in advance, or renting a car for the day. Consider checking out the app Turo for rentals.

The National Federation of Paralegal Association, Inc. (NFPA) is committed to ensuring a safe and engaging environment for the 2022 Joint Conference. The health and safety of all participants is our main priority.
NFPA will require proof of full vaccination as defined by the CDC or a negative viral COVID test administered by a health care professional taken within 3 days of arrival at the meeting. You will be asked for proof of vaccination or negative test at check-in. If an attendee cannot show proof of vaccine or negative test, they will be provided access to the virtual conference and not admitted to the in-person event. If a shorter interval is required by local or state regulation, NFPA will abide by that regulation. Additionally, if an attendee (participant, speaker, staff, etc.) is feeling sick or experiencing COVID-like symptoms prior to traveling or while onsite, they should not participate in the in-person event and will automatically be provided with access to the online version of the conference.
Given the fluid nature of the COVID-19 pandemic, NFPA may, at its discretion or at the direction of a venue or local/state government, institute additional safety measures, including, but not limited to masking, social distancing, etc. The NFPA intends to hold this meeting in person but reserves the right to cancel or reschedule this event or convert it to a virtual event if health and safety restrictions require it.
As of May 1, 2022, the City of Minneapolis recommends indoor masking due to high community transmission of COVID-19. Consistent with this recommendation, NFPA will require masks for attendees. 3M has donated a supply of N95 masks, will which be available for attendees at check-in. NFPA will continue to review local, state, and CDC guidance and requirements, and will update this policy as the situation changes.
