Wanted: New NFPA Coordinators

RP Renewals Coordinator

NFPA needs an RP Renewals Coordinator, reporting to the Vice President & Director of Paralegals Certification. Responsibilities include reviewing RP renewal applications to ensure that the individual has completed the required CLE hours. You may have to contact the individual for clarification or if they are short on hours.  This can be done on your schedule (evenings, weekends, etc.) and mostly by email.

PR/Advertising Coordinator

NFPA needs a PR/Advertising Coordinator to assist with press releases, advertising deadlines and National Paralegal Reporter themes. No travel necessary. Strategic Alliances Coordinator

NFPA needs a Strategic Alliances Coordinator to assist with exhibitor planning and organization. No travel necessary. Special Research Coordinator

This position is unique in that you may work on special projects related to the paralegal profession requested by any NFPA Board member, as directed by the Vice President and Director of Positions & Issues.  Your responsibilities include research and/or drafting documents for internal use, or articles for publication in NFPA’s National Paralegal Reporter magazine, and periodic reporting of any ongoing projects, if applicable. 

Submissions for the 2016-2017 position will be accepted through November 30, 2016.  Appointments will be made after nominations close.  For additional information or to express your interest in appointment as either the Coordinator or for this Committee, see this document. (must be logged in as a member) or contact Lori Boris, RP, MnCP, Vice President and Director of Positions & Issues, at VPPI@paralegals.org.

The Ethics Board Has Openings

The NFPA Ethics Board has positions open, and interested, qualified candidates are encouraged to apply by submitting a letter of interest and a resumé. The Ethics Board provides opinions on questions and matters involving ethical conduct, obligations, utilization and/or discipline of paralegals.  The Ethics Board members also review ethical opinions nationally, write articles for the National Paralegal Reporter, and assist with activities for Ethics Week in the spring.  The deadline for submission is November 21, 2016. Email your letter of interest and resumé to VPPI@paralegals.org.  

Please indicate in your letter of interest your preferred term length (one year or two years), your NFPA member status, and member association affiliation if applicable.  NFPA member positions must be filled by voting members.

Support Your Local Bar (Association)

NFPA is seeking volunteers for the Bar Association Coordinator, as well as members for the Committee. The Bar Association Coordinator and Committee members maintain the database of bar association contacts in the United States and develop ideas for future projects. The Coordinator oversees the Committee’s activities, and also periodically reports same to the NFPA Board.
