2010 NFPA Tech Institute™

The Board of Directors has decided to change the format for the 2010 Tech Institute. The live presentations scheduled for March 26 and 27, 2010 are being cancelled as in-person seminars. They will, however, be presented in an audio/virtual format in the near future. In cooperation with NFPA, its Corporate Partner, The Institute for Paralegal Education (IPE), will record each scheduled speaker and then present the seminars online. The current plan is to first offer the presentations to NFPA members through the NFPA website for a very limited time, after which IPE will proceed with a re-broadcast of each presentation to the legal community, making them available on an on-demand basis.
Given the economy, as well as the travel costs and time away from the office involved in physically attending a live event, the Board believes that changing the Tech Institute to an audio/virtual event will benefit everyone and will allow more universal attendance. The Board has listened to what NFPA's members are saying and is looking for ways to keep costs down, yet offer top quality learning opportunities.
As soon as the new schedule is confirmed, the information will be posted on the NFPA website, listservs and social networking sites. We ask that member associations get the word out to their members as soon as possible on these changes.
