The 2016 Joint Conference Host Application process will open on July 1, 2014, and all applications with any supporting documentation should be submitted via email to: CoordinatingVP@paralegals.org no later than September 11, 2014. Please review Section 27 of the Procedures Manual and the Joint Conference Host Application carefully before submitting.
The central United States will be the preferred location for the 2016 Joint Conference, as we attempt to vary the geographic location from where the Convention will be held that year, and where previous Joint Conferences have been held most recently. If no host applications are submitted from member associations located in the central U.S., alternate locations will be considered. The NFPA Board will review the materials submitted and make a decision for the 2016 location and host association at the Board Meeting on Thursday night.

The information requested with regard to hotels, restaurants, caterers, transportation or entertainment should be general in nature, and specific quotes are not necessary with the application, but provided to give a general idea of what can be expected at that time of year.
Although a presentation is not necessary, or requested for the board meeting when a decision will be made, a person should be designated and available to respond to any questions on behalf of your association, either by phone or in-person, at the time of the meeting.
