About the Joint Conference

The annual NFPA Joint Leadership/Regulation/Certification Ambassadors Conference is one of the most popular and most beneficial gatherings for paralegal leaders in their local association and their community. Attendees have the opportunity to share and network with professionals regarding association leadership, certification and regulation within the paralegal profession.

NFPA members may attend all three conferences for a nominal fee.  Non-members may attend the Regulation conference.

NFPA's 2015 Joint Conference will take place on May 1-3, 2015 in Portland, Oregon – the City of Roses!  Hosted by the Oregon Paralegal Association, it will be held at the Standard Insurance Center in downtown Portland.  Make your plans to join NFPA and many local leaders in attendance to network, learn about new developments in paralegal regulation and See Your Career and Leadership Opportunities Blossom!

Regulation Conference - Friday, May 1, 2015 - 5 CLE credits
Certification Ambassadors Conference - Saturday, May 2, 2015 - 1 CLE credit
Leadership Conference - Sunday, May 3, 2015 - 4 ethics CLE credits
Each conference is $35 for NFPA members; non-members may
attend the Regulation conference for $75.  Lunches are $13 each.  Advance registration has closed. On-site registration will be available during the event.

Social Events

The Oregon Paralegal Association (OPA) is organizing social events on both Friday and Saturday evenings for conference attendees, special guests, and local members who want to network and socialize in a festive atmosphere with national representatives and leaders.  Friday's event will be a cocktail party with hors d'oeuvres in the Standard Insurance Center.   Immediately after the cocktail party, OPA has made arrangements for anyone interested to meet for a no host dinner and/or drinks at Rock Bottom Brewery, which is located at 206 SW Morrison Street in Portland.  Saturday's event will be a dinner cruise on the Portland Spirit.


NFPA is not reserving a block of rooms for Joint Conference but offering a list of nearby hotels.  Please select one that works for your budget.  None of these have shuttles.

Ground Transportation

The Blue Star Bus offers shuttle transportation to/from PDX to downtown Portland.


The location for the 2015 Joint Conference is the Standard Insurance Center.  Portland International Airport (PDX) is about 20 minutes (12.5 miles) away.

Cancellation and refunds

Cancellations may be made up to April 19 with a refund of lunch and conference fees minus a $25 administrative fee. After April 19, cancellations receive no refunds.
