NALARESOLVED that the National Federation of Paralegal Associations shall open and expand lines of communications in the areas of shared purposes and goals with the National Association of Legal Assistants, so that a united front may be achieved to strive successfully for the recognition of paralegals as professionals in the community.
NALARESOLVED, that the Federation establish formal lines of communication with NALA and pursue the establishment of a formal working relationship with NALA, and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board be directed to establish a board committee to be charged with the responsibility of searching for areas in which mutual cooperation between these two organizations will inure to the benefit of the paralegal profession.
RESOLVED, that the Survey Committee be reappointed at the 1983 annual meeting and directed to explore the possibility of working with NALA representatives to prepare a survey designed to assess those activities and responsibilities, and if it is determined that a joint survey is not feasible at this time, be it further
RESOLVED, that the Survey Committee prepare and conduct such a survey of the entire membership of the Federation by publication of the survey questionnaire in the "National Paralegal Reporter" and, if agreeable to NALA, of that Association's membership by publication in "Facts and Findings."
