PHOENIX PARALEGAL CITED AS OUTSTANDING LOCAL LEADER

DynCorp and the National Federation of Paralegal Associations (NFPA) are pleased to congratulate Sybil Taylor Aytch, RP, a senior bankruptcy paralegal in the Phoenix, Arizona office of the law firm of Quarles & Brady Streich Lang LLP, on her selection as the 2002 NFPA Outstanding Local Leader. DynCorp sponsors the award annually to recognize an outstanding paralegal who has contributed substantially to his or her local association. The award was presented on September 28, 2002 at NFPA's fall convention in Cleveland, Ohio.

Aytch was nominated by the Arizona Association of Professional Paralegals, Inc., one of the many professional associations in which she is active. She serves as the first president of the Paralegal Division of the Maricopa County Bar Association (MCBA) and, as such, sits on the bar association's board of directors. A native of New York City, Aytch was a founding member of the Manhattan Paralegal Association. She is a member of the American Association for Paralegal Education, the Legal Assistant Management Association, and serves on the advisory boards of several paralegal educational programs in the Phoenix area, including Phoenix College, where she is an adjunct faculty member.

A letter of recommendation from Brenda Thomson, executive director of the MCBA, notes how Aytch works tirelessly behind the scenes to communicate with paralegals throughout Arizona through the Paralegal Division's web site and its publication, the Inside Scoop. Meredith Larabee, a past president of the Legal Assistant Management Association, cites Aytch's mentorship of aspiring paralegals and the countless seminars and courses she has taught.

Aytch has been a paralegal for more than 20 years and has extensive experience in complex litigation, antitrust law, corporate bankruptcy law, and trial preparation. She specializes in computerized litigation support and document and project management. She holds an M.Ed. in Counseling/Human Relations from Northern Arizona University, a double B.A. in English and French from Smith College, a Certificat de la Littérature in French Literature from La Sorbonne and a Certificat des Sciences Politiques in International Law from l'Institut d'Études Politiques in Paris.
