NFPA TEAMS WITH CALE TO OFFER ONLINE CLE
The National Federation of Paralegal Associations (NFPA) and the Consortium for Advanced Legal Education (CALE) are pleased to announce formation of a joint venture to offer online, affordable, accessible continuing legal education (CLE) courses for paralegals.
Students can participate in this CLE at their convenience, any time of the day or night, seven days a week. Courses are organized into units. Within each unit, the instructor posts an electronic lecture and assigns readings from a text, assignments/projects, and other homework. Class discussion is an integral part of each unit. The instructor will post discussion questions during each week. Students participate by posting their answers and contributions at a time convenient for the student.
Previously, NFPA and CALE formed a partnership to offer an online study course for the Paralegal Advanced Competency Exam (PACE). The extension of this partnership now will include advanced specialty courses in these areas:
Each of the first four courses has been approved for 5.0 NFPA CLE credits that count toward maintenance of the status of PACE Registered Paralegal. The stand-alone ethics course carries 2.5 NFPA CLE units.
For more information on enrollment fees and start dates, go to NFPA's web site at www.paralegals.org/CLE or CALE's web site at www.cale.org.
